May and June Member Meetings Canceled
The primary reason is that your volunteer Interim Executive Director is leaving the country for a month on a long planned trip. However when he returns big things will be happening.
First, we will have a new half-time Executive Director on board. We are in the final vetting process..
Second, we will build on your enthusiasm for the San Diego Mayoral Candidates Forum to host nonpartisan candidate forums for other key races in the November election.
Third, we will be organizing a one day conference for this October on issues that are important to all nonprofit organizations with our partners Nonprofit Management Solutions, USD's Institute for Nonprofit Education and Research and the UCSD Extension's Nonprofit Management programs.
If you see value with this direction, please join or renew your membership when it comes due so that we can staff and grow this organization to meet its goal of being the chief cheerleader for the sector and your connection with public policy makers and resources that you can use to achieve your missions.

"Almost 450 nonprofit staff, board members and supporters attended a forum on March 26, 2011 at The Old Globe to hear the four major candidates for Mayor of San Diego share their opinions on issues important to the Nonprofit and Philanthropic Community in the City. SANDAN’s Chair, Rob Hutsel welcomed the attendees to the theater and thanked our co-sponsors for helping organize and promote the event.
